Hello, all. My name is Sam, otherwise known as Cobra034 in most Internet
circles.
I'm currently in my second year of college, hoping to transfer
to the University of Central Florida to pursue a bachelor's degree in "Digital
Media" (more specifically, game development and design), during the fall of this
year, 2012.
This blog will serve several functions, centering around the
world of video games:
1. To chronicle my journey through college as I
learn to develop games, as well as anything I'll be doing independently to
expedite that process.
2. To express my thoughts on the current events of
the video game industry, along with my opinions on specific games and
franchises.
3. To share and promote any videos that I make for YouTube in
my spare time. These include walk-through's, play-through's, mash-ups,
commentaries, etc. I might also share any videos that I particularly enjoy from
other channels.
4. Several years down the road when I'm done with college
(or sufficiently knowledgeable), I'll use this blog to promote my expertise in
developing games. I'm thinking I might commission or contract work for smaller
companies and individuals before making my way to a larger development
studio.
